There are many things about Alila Villas Uluwatu, but mainly for us it’s the iconic jaw-drapping cliff cabana which is a notable spot to say I Do. Marilyn and Shaun, after being together for 9 years, decided to throw a wedding celebration in Bali after being proposed on their vacation to Ubud. So Ubud, once a little village in central Bali island has became a major spotlight after the Eat , Pray, Love movie and continues to inspire their visitors with its yoga culture, clean eating, natural sceneries and rice fields.
So when it comes to adding Ubud a little to the table, we add may things that Ubud grow. Ubud has a strong signature of wooden houses and wooden furniture, so we incorporate that to the table. Not forgetting the rice fields and wild grasses that you see anywhere you pass Ubud farmland.
For the Tea Ceremony, we incorporate the products of the earth, and everything that symbolises good omen, such as coconuts, pineapples, rice, flowers, and gold that symbols wealth and prosperity.
